This is a 1983 Trek 400 rescued from bike shop trash dept. for $20. Rear hub is Nashbar flip-flop laced to a used 700mm Mavic XP21 rim. Front wheel is used 700 generic. Rubber is Continental 700/28. Brakes, crank and fork all original Trek. Gearing is 42/16. Original handlebars clipped but not flipped. Paint is Rust-oleum silver. All in all, a great ride for minimal investment. Ridden twice for total of 40 miles on Lincoln NE bike trails. FG biking with rock solid connection to the pavement makes biking an all new experience, even at age 63. Thanks for the great web site. Great source of ideas and inspiration.
