This is a replacment for my Ron Kitching #2184 that I gave to to my son Ben, who was a messenger in New Orleans, and lost his bikes in Katrina. Now he is riding it while he messengers in Chicago.
I got the frame off E-bay and used some old stuff and some new. The Campy cranks with buggered out tapers give me a perfect chain line with a Shimano 110mm BB. 45/17 gearing fixed and free. Shimano M-535 SPD's with Kneesavers. A Surley flip flop rear, laced to a Mavic MA3. Nuovo Record brakes, seat post, headset and front hub also laced to an MA3. Continental Ultra Gatorskin tires. TTT stem and Profile TT bars & levers. And of course a Brooks B-17. The geometry is real tight and it rides like a dream, and the nice brown color hides the rust real well.
Thank again for the great site!
