18,754 • I’ve submitted a few bikes over the years, but this one’s my favorite and most recent. It’s a 1968 Atala Professional that’s set up practically for the wet Eugene, OR winter. Many of the parts were moved from my 1972 Windsor Pro. It’s got all of the characteristics I loved about that bike (light, agile) and none of it’s flaws (toe overlap, no fender eyelets, too stiff).

Columbus tubes and Campy dropouts; Sugino 75 cranks; 42t Origin8 chainring; Mavic MA40 rims; 15t generic cog on a generic hub, Suntour front hub; Campy Record headset; 3TTT stem; Nitto Noodle bars (44cm); Benotto bar tape; Shimano brake with Kool Stop MTN pads; Brooks Swift; Conti 4Seasons; Handsome Mud Butler fenders.

Thanks to the Center for Appropriate Transport in Eugene for workspace and input!
